This was prep on the way to teach a version of Anyscreen Storytelling (newly updated to Anyscreen Engagement!) to faculty of Tec de Monterrey in Guadalajara. Sometimes the best screen is one that doesn’t have to be turned off during take off or landing.

I believe in the power of a good story.

I believe that if we had a better understanding of how people act upon information and better communications for them, we could build more positive social movements.

I believe we create our stories, we don’t just tell them.

I believe the technology we have today can help more people attract others into each other’s stories, and as a result, enact more change. For good or bad.

I don’t believe a machine can ever replace a human mind for reading human behavior.

I believe that we naturally separate ourselves into teams and groups, and our affiliations influence how we perceive information more than the facts.

I believe we are emotional creatures at our core, our outer rim, and everywhere in between. Some of us are more rational than others, and all of us believe ourselves to be more rational than we really are.

I believe most people know what they want to do, what they should do, and how they should do it. But a lot of unnecessary baggage gets in the way of doing.

I know I am also one of those people.
